Peter is an enthusiastic leader who is keen to work in a outward looking organisation. He is currently an Executive Headteacher at two schools. He has experience of working in primary schools with very different socio-economic backgrounds.
Rated as an outstanding leader of an outstanding school, Peter is driven and focused on developing whole school systems and strategies that underpin successful schools. He has mentored newly appointed Headteachers as well as use the experience and talent in his own school to support schools in special measures.
Peter's passion for clarity, developing whole staff and distributive leadership enable him to develop strong teams across a school, improving communication, expectations and raising standards.
Within the alliance, he has a number of skilled professionals that excel in each key stage and also individuals who lead with great knowledge and commitment in both core and foundation subjects.
Mrs Alixena Lubomski is an experienced headteacher with a proven track record in providing effective system leadership support to colleague headteachers in the Dioceses of Salford and Leeds over the last ten years. Currently she is also a serving Section 48 Inspector and Canonical Review Leader for the Diocese of Leeds.
As a headteacher of Sacred Heart, Ilkley within The Bishop Wheeler Multi-Academy Trust, she works in collaboration with the other heads on a regular basis. She leads and supports internal school-to-school reviews and provides peer support on a range of issues including:
- preparation for S48 inspections
- spiritual leadership
- working with governors
- monitoring of teaching and learning
- policy development
- assessment development
- change management
- staff recruitment/induction/appraisal.
As Headteacher of St. Mary’s Menston, Darren is responsible for the secondary element of St. Mary’s Teaching School and leading the activities of St Mary’s as a National Support School. The type of support provided is flexible and tailored to meet the needs of each individual school. National Leaders of Education also have responsibility for developing the next generation of NLE’s and national support schools.
Darren has been a Headteacher since 2011 and is chair of the Headteacher group within the Bishop Wheeler Catholic Academy Trust. Darren is also responsible for chairing the Secondary Catholic Headteachers group for the Diocese of Leeds and is a member of Intervention Boards for three schools within the Diocese.
