Leadership Programmes

Working in partnership with Carnegie Leaders in Learning, we provide high quality training to teachers, current and future leaders, within the Yorkshire region which are delivered by outstanding school leaders.

Our training is accredited by the National College for Teaching and Leadership and can be tailored to your needs. Our system-led approach to leadership development includes the delivery of face-to-face sessions in your own setting, online study as well as performance coaching. You will have access to a wide range of resources and our online learning spaces allow you to interact with and learn from colleagues from across the region.

We offer a series of qualifications to help you to develop in your role or step up to the next level. Through our qualifications you can gain accreditation towards a Masters’ degree.

National Professional Qualification for Senior Leaders (NPQSL)
A level two qualification which is aimed at senior staff with cross-school responsibilities looking for leadership development but not aspiring to headship at this stage in their career.

National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH)
The NPQH is the first choice qualification for anyone aspiring to be a head teacher or principal.

Governance   Courses for current and newly appointed Governors.

Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA)
Higher level teaching assistants (HLTAs) work alongside teachers, providing valuable support for teaching and learning activities. HLTAs work right across the curriculum, acting as specialist assistants for specific subjects or departments, or helping to plan lessons and develop support materials. If you work in a support staff role in a school and you aspire to HLTA status then you can be assessed for Higher Level Teacher Assistant status through Carnegie Leaders in Learning which is part of the HLTA National Assessment Partnership.
